BlackRock announces product updates for nine iShares ETFs




NEW YORK–(COMMERCIAL THREAD) – BlackRock, Inc. (NYSE: BLK) today announced its intention to update nine iShares ETFs as part of an ongoing process of periodic reviews of its product line.

Distribution of stocks

BlackRock plans to implement stock splits for the ETFs listed below, which will be effective for shareholders of record at the close of business on July 14, 2021, payable after market close on July 16, 2021. The funds will be traded on after the spin-off on July 19, 2021. These spin-offs will reduce the share price and increase the number of shares outstanding. The total value of shares outstanding is not affected by the stock split.

After the close of business on August 23, 2021, the funds will no longer accept creation and redemption orders. Trading in the funds will be halted before the market opens on August 24, 2021. The liquidation proceeds are currently expected to be sent to shareholders around August 26, 2021.
